Here’s the full comparison. Including the bits that don’t flatter us.

Most apps assert a savings number. We’d rather publish one you can check.

Woolworths $126.83
Coles $124.98
ALDI $116.64
Split $114.69

Axis starts at $105.00 — not $0 — so the real spread is visible instead of exaggerated.

The basket. 34 items — the usual mix of fresh, frozen, pantry and cleaning. We regularly re-test the same basket at all three supermarkets and publish what we find.

The number that doesn’t flatter us

The cheapest single store was ALDI at $116.64, and the split beat it by $1.95. We print that because most comparison apps leave it out — and because $1.95 isn’t always worth a second stop. When it isn’t, WiseList has still told you which one shop to go to. That part is free.

Across a typical week, our published average works out to $32 a week. That’s an average — some households do better, some do worse.
